Passiflora Passionfruit Flower Earrings – The bloom was used as a herbal remedy in the second half of the last century and was introduced via American homeopathy as a well-known sedative in low doses in France and Switzerland. During World War I, the passion flower was used as a nerve sedative to treat shell shock.
The passion flower has a ton of deep history embedded in early plant fashion. Popular with the Victorians, Passiflora became less fashionable in the early twentieth century, but has now made a comeback as a commercial crop with new varieties being introduced. They are used as an exotic decorative addition to gardens, conservatories, and greenhouses.
We actively grow the Passion Fruit vine in our home garden. I love cooking with Passionfruit or Lillikoi fruit. Some of my favorite recipes are here.Â
These handmade earrings are created using the lost wax casting method. We create the design in our 3D software and then we 3D print our unique design in a resin wax. Then the pieces are cast in the metal of your choice.
This particular design is created in small batches. The earrings are .925 Sterling Silver as a pair, they weigh 11 grams. Individually they are 5.5 grams each. 30mm
Metals can tarnish over time. We recommend using a flannel polishing cloth to clean the ring. We recommend Sterling for everyday wear.
These earrings are very comfortable and lightweight to wear all day. The detail captured create a gorgeous design and are stunning on. I wear these earrings regularly.
We can produce these in other designs as well.
